Dear Daddy

As you celebrate your 70th birthday, our hearts are filled with gratitude to God for your life and for the privilege of having you as our spiritual father.

Over the years, we have been blessed to serve under your leadership and to experience personally your love, guidance and support. Beyond the Bishop and the many responsibilities you carry, we have come to know the father in you, and that is something we deeply treasure.

Despite how busy you can be, you always find time for your children. Whether it is a word of encouragement, wise counsel, prayer or simply taking time to listen, you have shown us that spiritual fatherhood is not merely a title, but a relationship.

And, of course, we cannot celebrate you without mentioning your laughter! It is unmistakable, warm and wonderfully contagious. We pray that you will continue to have many reasons to laugh and enjoy the years ahead.

Your passion for evangelism and reaching people with the Gospel continues to inspire us. It is an honour for us to serve within UK Missions and to play our part in a vision that keeps Christ and the Great Commission at its heart. We are grateful for the trust you have placed in us and do not take it for granted.

Daddy, thank you for your prayers, your counsel, your encouragement and your support over the years. Thank you for believing in us and giving us opportunities to serve.

There are seasons in a man's life when the ground gives way beneath him — when the weight of ministry, the sting of misunderstanding, and the loneliness of the call threaten to bury every dream God ever planted in his heart. I was in such a season. Hope had grown thin, and the future of my ministry felt like a question mark I could no longer answer.
It was then that God, in His unfailing mercy, brought you across my path — not as a passing acquaintance, but as a father. You did not merely offer words of comfort and move on. You stayed. You listened. You corrected where I needed correcting, and you covered me where I needed covering. With patient hands, you helped me gather the broken pieces of my life and ministry and set them back in order, one steady day at a time.
Today, as you mark seventy remarkable years — years poured out in the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, in Christ Life Churches Worldwide, and now in your God-given assignment as National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria — I do not celebrate you merely as a titled elder statesman of the Nigerian Church. I celebrate you as my father in the faith, the man whose obedience to God became the very lifeline of my restoration.

With profound gratitude to Almighty God, we join countless sons, daughters, friends, and well-wishers around the world in celebrating the 70th Birthday of our beloved Father in the Lord, Bishop Francis Wale Oke; a man whose life has become a beacon of faith, a vessel of divine grace, and a blessing to generations across the nations.
For us in the Ayeni Family, this celebration is deeply personal and profoundly meaningful. About thirty years ago, God graciously connected us to Daddy and Mummy, Rev. (Mrs.) Victoria Tokunbo Oke, through Christ Life Church. That divine connection has proven to be one of the most treasured gifts God has given our family. Since then, they have lovingly nurtured, guided, corrected, encouraged, and supported us both spiritually and personally. Through the decades, they have not merely served as leaders; they have become true spiritual parents whose influence continues to shape our lives and destiny.
As we reflect upon these three remarkable decades under their pastoral care, we can confidently testify that Daddy has been one of God's greatest blessings to our family. His unwavering commitment to raising men and women for the Kingdom of God has left an indelible imprint upon our lives, ministry, and future generations. Through his inspired teachings, fervent prayers, fatherly counsel, and sacrificial leadership, he has strengthened our faith, sharpened our vision, and inspired us to pursue God's purpose with greater devotion and conviction.

People often say, "You never truly know the value of a person until life tests the strength of your relationships." We can boldly say that you passed that test with flying colors. Long before our beloved father went to be with the Lord in 2017, you had already been a pillar of love, generosity, and unwavering support to us. When our father passed, you never stepped back—you stepped in. Despite your demanding schedule and global ministry, you made time for us, stood by us, prayed for us, encouraged us, and ensured we never felt alone. For that, we remain forever grateful.

Now, Uncle, let's settle one matter publicly! We can never forget that legendary wedding gift you gave one of us over twenty years ago—a deep freezer! While others were busy giving plates, pots, and envelopes, you were already thinking long-term investment! We are convinced that freezer deserves an award because it has probably served generations! Every time we remember it, we laugh and thank God for your thoughtful heart. It wasn't just a gift; it was a symbol of your generosity and your desire to see others thrive.

Glory and Honour be to the Almighty God for the grace given to you, Sir, to reach the 7th ladder in your life.

I sincerely want to use this medium to really appreciate all that you’ve done for my family [Late Elder (Dr.) Zachaeus Adedayo Babarinde].

My dear Bishop,

I cannot forget all your good deeds towards us during our trials and grieving period when I lost my darling husband to the cold hands of death. All my children too appreciated all your efforts, advice, support and contributions towards his befitting burial.

Your positive support and impact towards us cannot be over-emphasised. What can we do or say? How can it be quantified? Your spiritual, physical and financial support given to us?

All we can say here is to pray to our Abba Father that:

1. His continuous presence should abide with you and your family till eternity.
2. That heavenly home (Paradise), you shall not miss it in Jesus’ Mighty Name (IJMN).
3. The ministry that the Almighty put in your care should continue to wax stronger, as the Lord shall continue to bless the ministry and grant more exploits for His Kingdom. IJMN.
4. All the Aarons that are lifting up the hand of Moses in your ministry shall be positively and gainfully rewarded by the Lord. IJMN.

"Bishop Francis Wale Oke is a well known beloved brother, friend and classmate from college days at Wesley College Ibadan.
He made many impacts but to mention just two major impacts in my life that Iingers till today.
The first one was in 1979 when he was still an undergraduate in UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS.
In 1979, he came all the way from Lagos to my room at Fiditi in Oyo State to minister Holy Spirit baptism to me.
The second was when I went to spend a night with him when he was serving and having his NYSC program at Good News Centre in Ibadan.
My friend didn't sleep but kept replying great number of letters from converts and other set of believers that were requesting for counselings, prayers or demands of one form or the other.
By midnight instead of sleeping he still went out of the room to join some brethren that were having vigil in a shed outside.
He went to bed about 4.00am that day.
He preaches it and he lives the life both in privacy and in public. I witnessed to and have strong belief in his true life in Christ both in privacy and public.
He's a true Minister of God.
I'm not surprised that he is doing great exploits in the Lord and for how far his good testimonies in the Lord have been till today.
Your life is inspiring, challenging and encouraging.
